This is an event for all members of our community-- the queer community as well as those who want to show their support for Pride and stand strong with the LGBTQ2Si+ community.This is FREE thanks to our sponsors &amp; There are NO reservable Tickets-- this is first come first serve.. Just come to the dock area off Styles St starting at 6:15pm to pick up your headset.Please bring government-issued ID as collateral for your headset. There will be a Tip jar if you want to show the DJs some extra Love. Reusable cups, containers &amp; glassesIn 2019, cousins Caroline and Nancy co-founded The Nulla Project as a circular economy option to eliminate waste from the to-go culture on Vancouver Island. Forgot to bring your re-usable cup? Out for a run and need a caffeine hit? They’ve got you covered! Nulla has partners across Vancouver Island &amp; the Gulf Islands, making it easy for customers to pick up and drop off their reusable items everywhere. They now have about 2,000 cups in circulation and have partnered with 20 coffee shop locations. The project offers java drinkers looking to lower their disposable cup waste a reusable mug for a $5 deposit, and then they can exchange it for a new one or return it and get their money back at any partnering location. Even if businesses and events use compostable cups, Nancy says many of those will still end up in a landfill or the ocean, and there are communities that don’t have access to composting facilities for these types of items.
