Tourism HR Canada is gathering input from Indigenous representatives to inform the launch of a Pan-Canadian Tourism Competency Framework.

As leaders across Canada supporting Indigenous Peoples and businesses, we know you will recognize the importance of competency frameworks. Please join us in this important discussion to learn more about a new tool that will help streamline human resources functions and provide relevant labour market information. Tourism HR Canada is developing a Future Skills Competency Framework tool to help businesses, job-seekers and industry professionals in the Tourism sector. Among the tools&#x27; many applications, it will support users with tasks such as:<ul><li>Job descriptions </li><li>National Occupational Standards (NOS) </li><li>Learning plans</li><li>Skills checklists</li><li>Career progressions</li><li>Competency trend analysis</li><li>Identify skill gaps</li><li>Career mapping</li><li>Job fit analysis </li><li>Customized occupational profiles </li></ul>The session will give you an introduction to the tool in its preliminary form, followed by a discussion. Feedback will help to ensure that the Future Skills Competency Framework will best meet the needs of potential users.This session will be in English.
