An introduction to eating disorders will help clinicians feel more confident and competent about what to say to their clients.

Your spidey senses start tingling. Something seems to shift. Does this client have disordered eating? What am I supposed to say? I don’t want to say the wrong thing!</blockquote>If this resonates, you are not alone!Join and hear from eating disorder clinicians and members of <a href="https://aleocollective.ca/" title="https://aleocollective.ca/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">The Aleo Collective</a>: Courtenay Vickers RD, Lee Thomas MSW RSW, and Raquel Griffin MSW RSW.You will leave with tons of examples of what to say and practical strategies/tips that you can implement in your practice right away.<h3>Objectives</h3><h3></h3><ul><li>Knowledge: Learn, identify, and understand types of eating disorders, prevalence rates, treatment access landscape, distinction between eating disorders vs disordered eating, all of which resulting in significant gaps in education and care.</li><li>Values: Reflect on clinicians’ personal relationship(s) to food, body, and diet culture and how this may impact practice.</li><li>Skills: Integrate compassionate and eating disorder informed screening within existing assessment models.</li></ul><h3>Speaker</h3><h4></h4>The Aleo Collective is a group of interdisciplinary mental health practitioners who share similar values and approaches to sustainable recovery from eating disorders or disordered eating behaviours.
