Uptowne Olds dives into warm weather with a Zoom Café focused on  the FUN side of social: Contests, Promotions & Give-Aways!

The key benefit of social media is in the name… the social aspect of it. People LOVE chances to win something, and it’s a great way to interact with your audience. There are many ways to run creative contests and promotions, either on your own or with complementary and neighbouring businesses. And of course, we will have the most recent information we have on the “rules” to do these activities without ending up in social media purgatory. We will tell you about some of the best contests we’ve run, others we have seen, and together we can brainstorm some new ideas for summer and fall promotions as well. Join us for this fun and interactive session to learn the ins-and-outs of running online contests on social.--------Your facilitators:Amy @amyleighlee is a long time hairstylist &amp; the owner of brick &amp; mortar business @oldstownsquare . Amy became a hairstylist long before social media &amp; always found it intimidating. After starting Olds Town Square &amp; being pushed to put focus on it, she has found a keen interest in figuring it out &amp; enjoys seeing post translate into sales.Patti (IG: @pkempsimoneau) is the former Marketing &amp; Communications Coordinator at Everything Olds. She is exploring new opportunities including ‘sharing the love’ she felt in her time from Everything Olds to all of Central Alberta through her new IG &amp; FB profile, @everythingcentral, where she invites you to “Find Your Center.”
