She works as a research assistant with the VOICE Childhood Ethics team at McGill University.</li></ul><ul><li> Franco Carnevale is a nurse, psychologist and child and youth services ethicist. He leads the VOICE Childhood Ethics research program at McGill University in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.</li></ul>Overview:During the COVID-19 pandemic, children around the world have faced serious challenges and, more particularly, have had their rights largely overlooked. In this talk, we will draw on our previous research to highlight some of the ways children and youth in Canada and internationally have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Ultimately, this talk will aim to examine the ways in which the children have faced moral injustices as a direct result of their overlooked experiences and underappreciated rights. This talk will draw on advances in childhood ethics to challenge the dominant adult-centric biases that position children and their rights at the margins of public health and societal pandemic responses.
