The Saskatchewan Filmpool Cooperative is a non-profit artist-run centre which supports and assists independent visionary film and video production in Saskatchewan. The Filmpool is committed to developing an awareness and appreciation of independent film which reflects the individual and collective cultural expression of Saskatchewan people.

The Saskatchewan Filmpool Cooperative presents... THE 48 HOUR FILM FRENZY -- a Canada-wide film challenge happening June 11-13th, 2021.

THE 48 HOUR FILM FRENZY!, a dynamic, time-based film challenge presented by the Saskatchewan Filmpool Cooperative in partnership with <a href="https://the48filmfest.ca/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">The 48 Film Fest</a>.Take part in a Canada-wide film challenge where you and your team have just 48 hours to write, shoot, direct, and edit your own short film!Unique to Saskatchewan, in this event filmmakers will solely shoot their project on 16mm B&amp;W film and have the opportunity to hand-develop with eco-friendly developing processes. Once registered, you and your assigned team will receive an equipment package featuring a Bolex H16 camera, lenses, developing kit, and everything you need to go out and shoot the analog short film of your wildest dreams. Just remember, you only have 48 hours...Don't worry if you're new to analog filmmaking -- there will be several educational workshops before the event date going over the analog process (shooting, developing, etc.) which you are expected to check out if you are a beginner or are just needing a basic refresher!COVID-19 protocols and safety measures will be in place and will be followed during this event (according to SHA protocol guidelines).
