Can I arrive late?

Accepted Answer

Because of the intimate nature of the room, we recommend arriving on time or slightly early. We may not be able to let you into the studio if you are late. If this is the case, you are still welcome to stay in the lobby or go and come back for the second show.

What to wear?

Anything you like! But keep in mind: Seating is on the floor on mats or floor chairs. No shoes are allowed in the studio. We recommend socks and something you can comfortably sit on the floor in.

What makes Lobe so special?

The studio consists of a grid of omnidirectional speakers across the ceiling and embedded in the floor. In concert with the vibroacoustic floor panels and unique spatial sound technology, sound moves above, below, and all around you. Work presented at Lobe has been composed for the room.

There are 2 steps up into the studio space
Lobe has a portable ramp for access from the lobby into the studio.
There are 2 steps down to the washroom. There is no accessible sized washroom

Is there parking?

Accepted Answer

There is free street parking on Hastings in front of Lobe. There is also free and paid parking on the surrounding streets.
