The City of Toronto's Economic Development & Culture Division is proud to host a nine-part webinar series hosted by industry experts to provide practical advice and valuable insight to businesses seeking to expand & diversify their trade strategy.

This webinar in the City of Toronto's Trade Diversification series will focus on finding the financial resources to support your trade diversification strategy. This webinar will answer the following questions:<ul><li>What types of financial resources are available for me to begin diversifying my business’s trade strategy?</li><li>What kind of information will I need to provide to receive funding? Which documents should I have prepared?</li><li>What considerations are important to know when sourcing funding for trade diversification?</li><li>How do I know what my funding demand is? What happens if I ask for too much or too little?</li><li>What should I expect the process to be like to receive funding for trade diversification?</li><li>Are there any differences in funding if I am only exporting or importing, but not both?</li><li>What other resources and tools are available for me and my enterprise to use to search for financial assistance?</li><li>What government financial assistance is available to help businesses with tariffs?</li><li>What examples are there of Canadian companies that received grants to aid in their trade diversification initiatives?</li></ul> Join us to learn more about financial assistance for importers and exporters! Speaker Bios:Vincent Desrochers is a Grants Specialist at helloDarwin, with a proven track record in securing millions in government funding for Canadian businesses. He has guided hundreds of importers, exporters and other organizations through grants supporting trade diversification, expansion, digital transformation, and sustainability. In July 2025, helloDarwin's work contributed to over $12 million in funding submissions. Samuel Chamberland is a Grant Specialist at helloDarwin, where he specializes in guiding businesses through the complexities of government grants and incentives.
