The Sister2Sister program is excited to announce our upcoming virtual summit: Impacts of COVID-19 on Gender Equality! This event includes a full day of programming exploring how the COVID-19 pandemic has had a profound impact on our societies and economies of which women - especially women of colour, Indigenous women, and low-income women have been disproportionately impacted. COVID-19 reminds us of the important need to respond to the pandemic using an intersectional gendered lens in order to build a resilient world in the interest of everyone, but most importantly with women and girls at the centre of recovery.This event features talks by renowned and powerful women such as President of the Canadian Women’s Foundation: Paulette Senior, Executive Director of the Canadian Arab Institute: Shireen Salti, Member of Parliament: Heather McPherson, Executive Director of Ontario Council of Agencies Serving Immigrants: Debbie Douglas, Director of Advocacy and Public Policy at Canadian Women&#x27;s Chamber of Commerce: Jessica Ketwaroo-Green, and more!
