Participants will learn to create vibrant, layered images by pushing ink through stencils on mesh screens using a squeegee—an iconic process used in pop art and graphic design.Throughout the course, you will be guided step-by-step through:<ul><li>Drawing your image on acetate (clear plastic sheet)</li><li>Coating screens with photo emulsion</li><li>Exposing your image onto the screen to create a stencil</li><li>Printing your design by pushing ink through the stencil onto paper</li></ul>By the end of the series, you'll have a strong understanding of the silkscreen process and the confidence to continue screenprinting on your own.__Les mardis de 18h00 à 20h30Du 16 septembre au 21 octobre 2025Studio de sérigraphie du Labo nordique de SAW (67, rue Nicholas, Ottawa)Coût : 300 $ (matériel de base inclus)Nombre de participants : maximum de 6 personnesLangue d’instruction : anglaisAucune expérience requiseCette série d’ateliers de six semaines offre une initiation pratique à la sérigraphie, également appelée « impression au pochoir » ou « silkscreen ». Les participant·e·s apprendront à créer des images vibrantes en appliquant de l’encre à travers des pochoirs placés sur des écrans de tissu tendu – une technique emblématique souvent utilisée dans l’art pop et le design graphique.Au fil des semaines, vous serez guidé·e à travers les étapes suivantes :<ul><li>Création de votre image sur une feuille d’acétate (plastique transparent)</li><li>Application de l’émulsion photosensible sur les écrans</li><li>Exposition de votre dessin pour créer un pochoir</li><li>Impression de votre image en poussant l’encre à travers le pochoir sur du papier</li></ul>À la fin de la série, vous aurez acquis une compréhension solide du procédé de sérigraphie ainsi que la confiance nécessaire pour poursuivre la pratique de façon autonome.
