British Columbia’s schools are continuing to hire teachers throughout the summer and into the fall. Through teamwork and the building of positive relationships, they create a fair, respectful and nurturing environment. They enable students to experience success, to maximize their potential as educated citizens and to contribute to a changing society.
Sooke School District 62 has approximately 12,000 students and serves the communities of Sooke, Port Renfrew, Metchosin, Highlands, Langford and Colwood. Surrounded by forests, ocean, mountains and lakes, they are located a short distance from Victoria, the capital city of the province of British Columbia. Sooke is a busy school district and unlike many other districts in our province, they are increasing in size! In fact, they anticipate growing by more than 300 students per year for the next 15 years. They are currently looking to fill Inclusive Education and French Immersion Teacher positions.
Richmond School District 38 is situated on the traditional and unceded territory of the peoples of the hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓ language group. SD38 is a vibrant learning community that fosters students’ engagement, creativity, and well-being in inclusive learning environments. The school district lies within the boundaries of the City of Richmond located on an island at the mouth of the Fraser River. The community’s shared history began thousands of years ago as a place where the First Peoples gathered and lived. Today Richmond is a community of over 200,000 people who have chosen to live here from all over the world.
Boundary School District 51 provides opportunities for students to develop their individual and unique potential in harmony with home, school and community, thus enabling them to become mature and responsible citizens with inquiring minds and a desire for lifelong learning. Teachers in the school district enjoy a four-day work week, and numerous professional development benefits and recreational opportunities. This region offers its residents a variety of lifestyle choices – from miner to entrepreneur to professional. You can live in an urban subdivision or on a ranch, hobby farm or lake front. The four distinct seasons provide great temperatures and weather conditions for a wide range of seasonal outdoor activities. Boundary school district operates schools in Grand Forks, Beaverdell, Greenwood, Bridesville, West Bridge, Midway, Christina Lake, Big White, and Rock Creek British Columbia.
