What if I can't make it to any of these locations in person?

NSCSW is creating online resources and learning opportunities for our members about the new COE & SOP. But if there are multiple social workers in your workplace, we encourage you to collaborate with your employer to make sure at least one of you can attend and bring the knowledge back to the team.

Question 4

Why do social workers in Nova Scotia need to become familiar with the new COE & SOP?

Accepted Answer

As part of the registration process, all social workers practicing in NS must confirm that they have read and agree to practice in compliance with the NS Social Workers Act, Regulations, Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice. They must review the changes before completing annual renewal for 2026.
