10,000 Trees for the Rouge

This Site Preparation Event will be all about getting the planting site ready for tree planting  on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.

Rouge National Urban Park, 19th Avenue Day Use Area

Site Preparation includes:<ul><li>Unloading applicable planting stock (trees, shrubs, wildflowers, etc.)</li><li>Transporting planting stock to designated planting areas</li><li>Implementing measures to keep planting stock viable until planting </li></ul>Federal, Provincial, Regional, Municipal, and Organizational COVID-19 Regulations, Guidances, and Protocols:<ul><li>For health, safety, and liability reasons, this planting event is restricted to fully-COVID-19-vaccinated people who are 18 years of age or older at the time of registration. "Fully-vaccinated" is defined as 14 days after receiving the 2nd dose.</li><li>All participants must provide name and phone number at registration (for COVID-19 Contact Tracing purposes)</li><li>Only participants who have agreed to 10,000 Trees' "Communicable Disease Liability Release and Assumption of Risk Agreement" will be allowed to register and participate.</li><li>10,000 Trees will ensure that the total number of participants on the planting site at any one time remains below the maximum allowed by Public Health</li><li>10,000 Trees will sanitize high-touch shared contact surfaces (e.g. shovel handles) after use, so they will be safe for the next users. </li><li>All participants will be required to answer <a href="https://covid-19.ontario.ca/screening/worker/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Ontario's COVID-19 Screening Questions</a> prior to being allowed to enter the Planting Site, and anyone answering "Yes" to any of the questions will not be admitted.</li><li>All participants are responsible for bringing and wearing PPE (facemasks, gloves, etc.) applicable for physical activity in an outdoor setting</li><li>All participants must maintain appropriate physical distancing at all times when on the planting site.</li></ul>
