EN:The Spur Change program is a 5-year initiative of the Inter-Council Network (ICN), funded by Global Affairs Canada (GAC), aiming to increase the effectiveness of SMOs to deliver sustainable results in support of the Feminist International Assistance Policy and the Sustainable Development Goals; support educators in engaging school communities on global issues; and foster youth action on the Sustainable Development Goals. ~le français suit~ What is this workshop about?This intensive two-day workshop, organized by Spur Change in collaboration with the Alberta Council for Global Cooperation (ACGC), will be a practical, hands-on experience for participants to dive into trends and opportunities in fundraising, equity-centred fundraising principles.In the end, you will leave with practical ideas, new international cooperation friends and more enthusiasm, skills and tools for ensuring your resource mobilization is easy, empowering and impactful. 📚 Learning OutcomesThe goal of this workshop is to build participants’ knowledge of and capacity to effectively and ethically respond to critical trends and approaches in fundraising strategies, including the integration of equity-centred fundraising principles. This workshop will complement the online Units 1-3 of the Building Equity course offered by Spur Change, which incorporates Change the Game Academy and Canadian contextual information. <a href="https://spurchangeresource.ca/en/training/building-equity-resource-mobilization-for-impact/" title="https://spurchangeresource.ca/en/training/building-equity-resource-mobilization-for-impact/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">All materials from past units are available online, for free and without registration, here</a>.By the end of the training, you’ll have a better understanding of how to:<ul><li>Evaluate sample fundraising strategies to identify critical ethical and success elements;</li><li>Examine and adjust your strategies and practices to emerging issues, trends, and peer feedback;</li><li>Integrate equity-centred fundraising principles and practices into your strategies and practices;</li><li>Identify next steps and resources to support execution of your strategy.</li></ul>Do note, it is not mandatory to have completed Units 1-3 to attend this workshop, though it is recommended. ⏰ Workshop DetailsThe training will be held over Zoom with live sessions, including simultaneous interpretation French/English for all participants.
