The NSCSW Award Gala will celebrate our award winners,  our volunteers, board, council, committee members, featuring Dr. Ingrid Waldron

Please plan to join us as we celebrate our First Annual Awards Gala this October. We will gather virtually to recognize our award winning social workers, as well as our amazing volunteers, committee chairs, and all of the dedicated social workers in Nova Scotia who contribute to our profession and enable us to advance our mission.Our special guest speaker for the evening will be Dr. Ingrid Waldron. Her topic will be “A Call to Action: how a justice lens in advocacy research can address systemic inequities for marginalized communities and transform the healthcare system.”Dr. Waldron (MA, University of London; PhD, University of Toronto) is the HOPE Chair in Peace and Health in the Global Peace and Social Justice Program in the Faculty of Humanities at McMaster University.
