Panelists will discuss children's lived experiences during COVID-19, a time which has brought many challenges for children & their families.

The CCRC is thrilled to be joined by Dr. Donna Koller and Maxime Grossi for this interactive and informative webinar on children&#x27;s rights during the COVID-19 crisis.The Canadian Coalition for the Rights of Children (CCRC) brings together organizations and individuals to promote respect for the rights of children. The guiding framework for all Coalition activities is the Convention on the Rights of the Child. The CCRC runs a series of webinars each fall and spring where we bring together academics, child rights practitioners, students, and other individuals to discuss relevant child rights issues that Canada faces today. Check out our website for more info: https://rightsofchildren.ca/Donna Koller is a professor within the School of Early Childhood Studies at Ryerson University. She completed graduate studies at the University of Missouri-Columbia, and a doctorate degree in child development and applied psychology from the University of Toronto. Clinical positions in three children’s hospitals (Canada and US) contributed to an expertise in pediatric psychosocial care and children’s rights in health care. Her program of research consistently examines children’s own experiences and perceptions. As an adjunct scientist at The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids), she has addressed children’s rights and perspectives on decision-making, social inclusion for children with disabilities and chronic medical conditions, the disclosure of medical errors, and more recently, children’s rights and pandemics. Maxime Grossi is a registered nurse at The Hospital for Sick Children and specializes in pediatric multi-organ transplantation. She has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master of Arts in Early Childhood Studies.
