Kathy Kemmere is a long- time resident of Olds, Alberta.    She is married to Al, and they have raised their three children in this community, who all reside and work in Olds and are raising their 7 grandchildren.Kathy has worked most of her adult life in health care in this Community, and volunteered in many areas of community life, but most notably in the past 13 years with Olds & District Hospice Society.  Kathy is trained in palliative care, pastoral care, and bereavement support.  She has initiated many of these programs in Olds and has supported other communities across the province in creating similar programs. Due to the pandemic, she co-created a special program, that supports people in Isolation and Grief – “Growing Together” which has been used twice in the past year to support individuals virtually. Since leaving her work life, she spends her time training in Bereavement Facilitation, and most recently Nav-CARE volunteers as well as continuing to volunteer herself.She enjoys, curling, golf, reading, learning, people, gardening, travel and above all her love of family.She is passionate about people, in every age and stage of life, and spends her time supporting those who need it.
