Welcome to GroundSwell, Winnipeg's only new music concert series.  GroundSwell provides an opportunity to experience a wide range of new  music--in concert, online, on the radio, in the community!  Experience our hand-picked world-class composers and performers interpreting the music of our time!  All GroundSwell--Live concerts are pay what-you-can, how-you-can!  So, purchase through Eventbrite before the show, or at the door with Cash or Cheque only.In 2022-23, GroundSwell presents six extraordinary concerts featuring local, national and international artists. GroundSwell and WAG-Qaumajuq are thrilled to co-present  a unique gallery concert  featuring throat songs, violas and percussion .

GroundSwell and WAG-Qaumajuq are thrilled to co-present North/South, a unique gallery concert featuring throat songs performed by Chasity and Caramello Swan, as well as music for violas and percussion played by Melody McKiver, Jennifer Thiessen and Ben Reimer. New collaborations/improvisations by Melody McKiver and Jennifer Thiessen, as well as group improvisations. Also, recent/new compositions by Melody McKiver, Jim Hiscott and more. The improvisations will be inspired by Inuit artwork on display in the Main Hall.Come early at 6pm (before the concert) to view the spectacular collection of Inuit sculpture in Qaumajuq's Visible Vault, as well as the curated selection of Inuit sculptures in the Main Hall presented alongside Wanda Koop's painted series, The View from Here.
