Will the Mayor be in attendance?

Toronto Mayor Olivia Chow and Budget Chair Shelley Carroll are both enthusiastic supporters of this series of consultations and regularly attend.

Question 3

What if I need interpretation in another language?

Accepted Answer

The City will work to secure language translation supports for requests received at least 5 business days prior to the public consultation date by email at engagement@toronto.ca. Requests for interpretation supports made closer to a public consultation date will be reviewed based on feasibility.

Are the in-person events accessible?

Yes. The venues are public buildings selected for their size, accessibility and proximity to public transit services.

Will there be ASL?

Yes, ASL interpretation will be availablte at the in-person meetings.

Who is organizing this event?

Accepted Answer

The budget consultations are led by the City Manager’s Office who have contracted with Barnes Management Group and Albion Neighbourhood Services to provide event facilitation and community engagement.

How should I prepare for the meeting?

There are no special preparations to make. All the information and instructions you will need will be provided as part of public consultations.
