Metro Community Housing Association (MCHA) has been part of the NS community for over 50 years, providing supportive homes for more than 150 people living with mental illness. Our mission is simple: to create safe, supportive homes where people can build meaningful lives in the community.We are deeply connected to the people we serve. Our work isn’t top-down, it grows from listening to participants, walking alongside them, and creating opportunities together. From gardening clubs to community outings, we believe recovery and wellness happen in everyday moments of connection, belonging, and discovery.MCHA is also committed to change. As Nova Scotia shifts through The Human Rights Remedy, we are reshaping how services are offered, ensuring that people have more voice, choice, and control in their lives. The Explorers Club is part of this grassroots vision: building programs from the ground up that respond directly to what participants tell us they need, opportunities to explore, to learn, and to discover joy.
