Online event
Wednesday, May 20  •  7 PM - 8 PM ADT
Overview

Moving from theory to practice, this session follows a real-world example of how drones collect and process forestry data.

Moving from theory to practice, this session follows a real-world example of how drones collect and process forestry data. Participants will be guided step by step through the whole workflow, starting with flight planning and field operations, then moving into data processing and interpretation.

By watching how the process unfolds in a practical setting, you’ll gain a better understanding of how drones can fit into your operations, what challenges to anticipate, and what kinds of insights the technology can provide. A prerecorded demonstration will showcase the data collection workflow, followed by a live discussion with Kari Easthouse, Digital Forestry Consultant, to tie the technical process back to everyday forest management needs.

This webinar is part of a series showcasing innovative technologies and practical tools that enhance how forestry professionals collect, analyze, and apply data. This series is brought to you by the Nova Scotia Forestry Economic Task Force, Forest Nova Scotia, and Greenspring Bioinnovation Hub.
