Interrupting Harm Workshop

The Experiential Education Department at UPEI helps students build bridges between their university learning and the world of work. Our office offers numerous free workshops and events to help UPEI students develop a range of personal and professional skills. We also support students through coordinating experiential learning opportunities, enabling students to apply what they are learning in the classroom in real world contexts while expanding their growth.

UPEI Experiential Education

An online workshop where UPEI students and alumni can learn how to recognize harm and gain strategies for intervention.

In this module, students will learn about: <ul><li>Taking ownership of harm and intervention</li><li>Noticing opportunities to interrupt harm</li><li>Choosing an interruption that fits for you and the person you are helping</li></ul>This workshop is part of UPEI’s Work Integrated Learning Digital Badge Programs. Students who participate in this workshop will be eligible to receive digital badges to recognize their participation. Registration is required and space is limited. A Google Meet link will be sent to all registrants the morning of the workshop. Only University of Prince Edward Island students and alumni are eligible to attend this workshop.There has been a recent issue with event registrants not attending sessions, which impacts the organizers and the other people who have registered. If you sign up and then can&#x27;t attend, please cancel your ticket in Eventbrite or email us at experientialed@upei.ca to cancel.
