The Working Mind for Staff - 1 Day Session

Description: TWM is an evidence-based, interactive workshop designed to increase awareness and reduce stigma around mental health, so that staff are able to better support themselves.

SFU is committed to fostering a healthy and psychologically safe environment that enables individual and collective well-being for all staff and faculty across the University.

This workshop aims to promote mental health, reduce stigma around mental illness, and create a more supportive work environment.

This accredited workshop, developed by the Mental Health Commission of Canada, will be delivered by Organizational Health & Well-being team.


IMPORTANT TO KNOW:

The training will start at 9:45am. We invite you to arrive early at 9:30am to settle in and enjoy coffee/tea with us. Training will end at 4pm

There will be a 30 min lunch break for you to bring your own lunch, plus an additional short break in the morning and the in the afternoon.

  • Please do what you need to support your participation and learning throughout the day and please feel free to bring your own snacks as needed to ensure you remain nourished and energized through your learning.
  • If you have accessibility requests, please don’t hesitate to email Dawn at dawn_barroso@sfu.ca to support you
