Do I need to know how to read tarot to attend?

Accepted Answer

Not at all! This event is open to everyone — whether you’re brand new to tarot or a seasoned reader. You’re also welcome to opt out of tarot altogether; the choice is completely yours. There will be plenty of other nourishing activities to enjoy, from wellness rituals to tea blending.

What's included in my ticket?

Accepted Answer

Your ticket includes entry to the event, access to the tea bar, light snacks, and any special activities for that month’s theme.

Question 3

Can I bring my own tarot deck?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely! If you’d like to pull cards for yourself or trade readings with others between sessions, feel free to bring your deck.

Question 4

What should I wear?

Accepted Answer

Wear whatever makes you feel comfortable and relaxed. If it’s a themed event (like our PJ Party), we’ll let you know in advance.

Is there an age limit?

Accepted Answer

Most of our events are 18+ unless otherwise stated, as tarot readings can sometimes address personal or emotional topics. However, a parent or guardian may accompany someone who is under 18.

Do I have to participate in everything?

Accepted Answer

Not at all—you’re welcome to simply enjoy your tea, soak in the atmosphere, and participate at your own comfort level.

Where is the event located?

Accepted Answer

The event will be held in a private home in New Westminster in the Queensborough neighbourhood. The full address will be emailed to attendees upon registration.  Please keep an eye out in your inbox or junk folder for an email from info@adawnrising.com.

What should I bring?

Accepted Answer

Bring your favourite teacup or mug — the more fabulous, the better! There’s even a prize for the most ornate one. You may also wish to bring a notebook for journaling your intentions and reflections.

Will refreshments be provided?

Accepted Answer

Yes! You’ll enjoy delicious mocktails, herbal teas from the DIY tea bar, and tasty Jamaican light snacks.

Are tarot readings included in the ticket price?

Accepted Answer

Tarot readings are an optional add-on for $35. A sign-up sheet will be available on-site — spots are first come, first served.

Question 11

Can I get a refund if I can’t attend?

Accepted Answer

Refunds are available up to 2 days before the event.  After that, you’re welcome to transfer your ticket to a friend — just let us know so we can update the guest list.

Question 12

Is there parking nearby?

Accepted Answer

Yes! Free street parking is available in the neighbourhood. We always recommend carpooling if you can.  The area is also accessible by public transit.  After you register, you will receive an email giving you transit instructions.
