Overview

Venture Studio in Life Sciences Commercialization

Goal: To reconnect with colleagues and plant the seeds for new collaborations in emerging areas of medical technology applied research with a focus on oncology.

  1. Introduce participants (clinicians, researchers, innovators, and investors) to the commercialization journey in medical technology.
  2. Provide hands-on experience in scaling decisions using role-playing case studies.
  3. Showcase how hospital innovation centers can accelerate commercialization through collaboration.
  4. Build connections among regional researchers, investors, and commercialization experts.

This activity meets the certification criteria of the College of Family Physicians of Canada and has been certified by the Continuing Education and Professional Development Office at NOSM University for up to 8.25 Mainpro+® Certified Activity credits.

This event is an Accredited Group Learning Activity (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and approved by the Continuing Education and Professional Development Office at NOSM University. You may claim a maximum of # hours (credits are automatically 8.25 calculated).

BOOKING CUT-OFF DATE

Room bookings must be made before Friday, January 30th, 2026 (midnight). After this date the special rate will no longer be available and the rooms in the block will be released by the hotel to sell.

A VALID CREDIT CARD IS REQUIRED

A valid credit card is required at check in for room, tax and incidentals. Unless specified. Please note, there is a daily $100 hold charge on the credit card for incidentals (restaurant, room service, shop purchases). This temporary hold charge is released after checkout and can take 2-5 business days.
