What if I am new to attending singles events and feeling nervous?

Accepted Answer

If you are new to these types of singles events and want to come but are hesitant and feel shy/anxious, feel free to mention it to your host upon arrival or send us a message before the event and don't worry- you will be taken care of!

Question 2

What if I am an introvert? Is this event for me?

Accepted Answer

We cater to all types of personalities and include activities suitable for all. Our events are designed with introverts in mind. In fact, at our event in April, an introverted woman met her current partner and is already in a serious committed relationship! She originally was terrified to come!

Question 3

What if I show up and I do not see anyone who I find attractive at first sight?

Accepted Answer

It is advised to come with an open mind. You may even meet someone of the same gender who may have a cousin/friend/coworker/etc who may be the perfect fit for you! Or you may walk away making a new friend or business contact. You never know what can happen so it is best to stay and see how it goes!

What are the ages of the people who will show up?

Accepted Answer

Specific ages are not always known but keep an open mind. The perfect partner may not fit into your list of characteristics you are looking for and may be older or younger.

Question 5

Is there going to be an exact male-female gender ratio?

Accepted Answer

We never know exactly who will show up to the event in the end (people get sick/decide not to come at the last minute/have to cancel due to schedule conflicts/etc) but we strive for a balanced gender ratio. If there is a very unbalanced gender ratio, the event will be cancelled/postponed.

How many potential people will I meet?

Accepted Answer

We take the “less is more” approach in that sometimes having less options is better to finding someone with shared values. Our events strive to combat “the paradox of choice” phenomenon which occurs while using dating apps/attending large events-having too many options may mean being less invested.

Question 7

Is this event taking place in a completely private space?

Accepted Answer

This event takes place in a public restaurant. Although we have our own section, exposure to the public is possible.

Question 8

What is the noise level of the venue going to be like?

Accepted Answer

We are able to control the volume of music but there are no guarantees that there will not be noise coming from other venue patrons or elsewhere in the venue. We suggest that those who are sensitive to noise consider this fact in deciding whether to attend or not.

Question 9

Do you verify attendees age, marital status, job, criminal history, identity etc?

Accepted Answer

We are unable to verify the above mentioned details. If you prefer to date those who are pre-screened. you may prefer the service of a paid matchmaker who can provide individual service.

Question 10

Exactly how many males and females will be at the event?

Accepted Answer

We cannot predict the exact number as there are many reasons why they could be an equal gender ratio. The ratio could be equal the day before the event but then people can experience last minute emergencies/feel anxiety and change their minds about coming/get sick/etc.

What is the number of attendees who show up?

Accepted Answer

We need a minimum of 25 registrations and we currently accept a maximum of 44 in order to hold an event.

Question 12

I am out of the stated age range, can I still come? Do I have to state my age in the order form?

Accepted Answer

Sure, the age range is simply a suggestion. Keep in mind we do monitor the ages (we ask for the age on each registration form) and tailor our events to what people are looking for. Therefore  it is important to have an idea of your age.

Question 13

What is the agenda for the event?

Accepted Answer

We send out the agenda via email to ticket holders a couple of days in advance of the event.

Question 14

If tickets in my gender category are sold out, can't I just buy the other gender tickets & show up?

Accepted Answer

No you cannot do this as it interferes with the gender balance & is dishonest/manipulative. If it appears that someone has bought a ticket for a category that is not theirs (e.g. if women's tickets are sold out and you buy a men's ticket) it will be refunded. We always have a waitlist.
