FireCraft: Build Fire When It MattersMost people carry a lighter.Few know they can build a fire when it actually counts: cold, wet, and without shortcuts.This is a full-day, hands-on FireCraft course where you’ll develop real, reliable skill, not just theory.By the end of the day, you will be able to: • Build and sustain fire in challenging Saskatchewan conditions • Select and use natural and prepared materials with confidence • Understand what works, and why, so you can adapt anywhereThis isn’t about perfect setups or ideal weather. We focus on practical skills you can depend on in the real world.What the day looks like:You’ll spend 8 hours outside learning and doing: • Fire building from the ground up • Multiple ignition methods • Working with natural tinders and materials • Fire lays that actually perform • Maintaining flame in less-than-ideal conditions • Safe, responsible fire use and cleanupWe keep groups small so you get plenty of hands-on time and direct instruction.Who this is for: • Hikers, campers, and backcountry explorers • Foragers and outdoor enthusiasts • Newcomers to Saskatchewan and Canada • Anyone who wants real confidence with fireNo experience needed.What to bring: Bring your own gear or try different tools during the course. A full gear list and directions will be provided after registration.Location: Training takes place 15 minutes east of Marcelin, SK (grid road access). Full directions provided after registration.
