Volunteer Mixer: Pizza and polish

The Experiential Education Department at UPEI helps students build bridges between their university learning and the world of work. Our office offers numerous free workshops and events to help UPEI students develop a range of personal and professional skills. We also support students through coordinating experiential learning opportunities, enabling students to apply what they are learning in the classroom in real world contexts while expanding their growth.

The Mount Continuing Care Community

The Mount Continuing Care Community invites UPEI students to a Welcome Back Volunteer Mixer on Friday, January 23rd, from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM.This event is a fantastic opportunity to discover volunteer roles at The Mount, socialize with residents, and connect with fellow students. Staff will be available to answer questions and provide volunteer materials.Event Highlights:<ul><li>1:00 PM – 2:00 PM: Complimentary pizza, and information sharing regarding volunteer opportunities.</li><li>2:00 PM – 3:00 PM: Hands-on service with residents, including glasses cleaning, wheelchair or walker polishing, and nail care.</li></ul>Location &amp; Transportation: The Mount is located just a short distance from campus at 141 Mount Edward Road.<ul><li>Walk with the Group: Meet at the Career Studio (Room 209, Dalton Hall) at 12:40 PM to walk over via the connecting trail.</li><li>Drop-in: You are also welcome to head directly to The Mount anytime between 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM.</li></ul>Please register by Thursday, January 22nd at noon.If you have any questions, please contact Jess Cameron, Community and Industry Outreach Coordinator, at jecameron@upei.ca.
