PALS Renewal - Paediatric Advanced Life Support Renewal Course - 2026

For staff who have active PALS and BLS certification

All courses running in the Ibn Sina Simulation Lab (Room 3100, 3rd Floor - TBRHSC)

Course Prerequisites:

• Active Heart and Stroke PALS certificate (within the last 2 years)
• Active Heart and Stroke BLS certificate (within 12 months)

The PALS Provider Renewal course is a fast-paced course. It is designed for proficient PALS providers who regularly direct or participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest or other cardiovascular emergencies in critically ill or injured children and who holds a current PALS Provider certificate. This course assumes a comprehensive awareness, knowledge and skill proficiency in PALS concepts, and is best suited for providers who use these skills frequently and therefore require limited practice to be successful.

Learners will practice and apply their knowledge to case scenarios applying the proven systematic approach to pediatric assessment, treatment algorithms and coordinated high-performance team dynamics, in both team leader and team member roles.

Participants should be proficient in:

- ECG interpretation

- PALS medication administration

- Bag-mask ventilation

Sign up early as space is limited

**Priority registration for staff working in ICU, & ED.

Provider manuals (mandatory) and ECC Handbooks (optional) can be purchased in the Season's Gift shop for $60 and $38 respectively.

If a course is cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances, TBRHSC will attempt to reschedule on the earliest possible date(s) available, TBRHSC is not responsible for any additional costs incurred by attendees due to cancellation or rescheduling.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

If your cancellation is received less than 2 weeks prior to the course start date, 50% of the course fee will be charged to your credit card.

You may also request a one-time transfer to a later course (if space available). However, if you choose this option and are unable to attend the course you transferred to, no refund will be issued.
