How to apply principles of feminist leadership to nonprofit governance
Overview
In this session we will cover the ways nonprofits can apply the principles of feminist leadership theory at the board level. This can be done in discrete policies, procedures, and forms. Together, we will explore the tensions between feminist principles and common law duties of directors, including duty to manage, duty of loyalty, duty of solidarity and more.
By identifying sources within the common law of shared values with feminist management principles, alternative practices, procedures, and policies will be discussed.
There will be an opportunity for sharing practices, Q&A, and more. Please note this session will not be recorded. All registered participants will receive a curated list of resources within one week of the event.
Current ONN members are eligible for a discount on this workshop. There is also a limited number of discounted spots for organizations with annual revenues of less than $300,000 - the spots are allocated on a first come, first served basis.
