IT and OT operating environments use similar compute and software capabilities however the protection mission is entirely different due to the physical consequences of a failure in the cyber-physical realm. Protection decisions are further complicated by criminal organizations determining critical infrastructure operators make good extortion targets, challenging a lot of conventional wisdom on how to do security operations for an OT centric organization. Rather than theory, this session will focus on SOC Operation lessons learned from both the integrated and segregated delivery models done at scale while incorporating the risk management realities of large oil and gas companies.</li><li>For those interested adjourn to a local eatery for a bite to eat and further conversation.</li></ul>Meeting Location Map:The meeting will take place in the Fortinet 2nd floor conference room, 505 – 2nd Street SW – access through the main doors on 2nd street. Parking:The City of Calgary Harmony Underground lot (lot 40) the block west of 5th Avenue Place (2 blocks east of the Fortinet office), has very affordable evening parking rates starting at 4 pm (see the Calgary Parking Authority website for details). About the ISA Calgary OTCSSIGThe Operations Technology Cyber Security Special Interest Group is a community of individuals involved in the implementation and support of systems responsible for the physical control of industrial processes. The goals of the group are:<ul><li>Share industry lessons learned &amp; best practices with others</li><li>Host presentations &amp; roundtable discussions on topics relevant to the OT community</li><li>Host educational events</li><li>Feedback / input to ISA/IEC 62443 the world’s only comprehensive consensus-based OT cybersecurity standards</li><li>Grow the local OT cybersecurity community</li></ul> Membership in the ISA is not a requirement for participation in the OTCSSIG but is encouraged – ISA membership has its benefits!
