WE'RE BACK! Girls Forward's Girls Run is on Saturday May 23rd & Sunday May 24th, 2026.

Join us for a morning of girl power! The Girls Forward team is thrilled to be working with Rocky’s Women’s Soap Run for our annual Girls Run in Canmore, Alberta.

As always, we offer two distance for girls to run, 1km and 2.5km, along with a designated cheer section this year for girls to see the women’s races in action!

DETAILS

Distances: 1km and 2.5km

When: Saturday May 23rd and Sunday May 24th (note: you can purchase a ticket to run on both days if you want!)

Who: Girls and gender diverse youth, ages 4-12

What's Included:

• Race bib, Girls Forward t-shirt, and a swag bag with other goodies!

$ Ticket Pricing:

• Early Bird: Until March 14 (11:59pm MT) - $35 per day
• Standard: March 15 - April 30 (11:59pm MT) - $45 per day
• Last Minute: May 1 - 18 (11:59pm MT) - $55 per day
• Post-race child care for $25 per day - full details below. Girls Forward Role Models will offer fun activities such as poster making, bracelet making, scavenger hunt, and educational curriculum! ONLY FOR GIRLS WHO ARE RUNNING IN GIRLS RUN CAN BE INVOLVED IN THIS ADD-ON CHILD CARE PROGRAM.

RACE SCHEDULE

SATURDAY, MAY 23rd:

7:30 AM - Check-in / Registration

7:50 AM - Welcome to Girls Forward / Introduce Role Models / Group Photo

8:00 AM - Warm up / Get Race Ready with the Role Models!

8:15 AM - Girls Run (Distance: 1km or 2.5km)

9:00 AM - Autographs & Photos & Swag Bags!

9:15 AM - Event Conclusion / Cheer Station Set-Up

SUNDAY, MAY 24th:

8:30 AM - Check-in / Registration

8:50 AM - Welcome to Girls Forward / Introduce Role Models/ Group Photo

9:00 AM - Warm up / Get Race Ready with the Role Models!

9:15 AM - Girls Run (Distance: 1km or 2.5km)

10:00 AM - Autographs & Photos & Swag Bags!

10:15 AM - Event Conclusion / Cheer Station Set-Up

WHAT TO BRING:

• Water Bottle
• Active Clothing (Girls Forward shirt will be provided)
• Running Shoes or closed-toed shoes (no sandals, crocs)
• Snacks

Post-race child care details:

• Child care for Saturday-only: $25
• Child care for Sunday-only: $25
• These tickets will give your child access to child care after your child finishes Girls Run, up until the Rocky's Women's Run concludes on the day you selected - you can buy a ticket for both days in needed. These tickets are for people who are running in the Women's Run and need the child care. These child care tickets do NOT give you access to Girls Run or Rocky's Women's Run - these tickets are strictly an add-on option for child care. Child care will involve Girls Forward Role Models dedicated to supervising your child and offer fun activities such as poster making, bracelet making, scavenger hunt, and educational curriculum!!! Please pick up your child immediately after you complete the Women's Run. Tickets are limited - first come first serve.
