Overview

Learn to spot modern cyber scams, now powered by AI, using simple frameworks, while building core cybersecurity skills to reduce risk.

This workshop introduces participants to the most common real-world cyber threats they are likely to face - phishing emails, malicious attachments etc.- while highlighting how attackers are now using AI to make these scams more convincing than ever.

You'll learn simple frameworks to recognize red flags in messages, websites, and calls, which increasingly target individuals and small organizations. We'll connect these scenarios to core beginner skills valued in cybersecurity roles, such as basic threat awareness, incident reporting, and understanding how multi-factor authentication, strong passwords, and updates actually reduce risk.

This event is available to anyone PWYC with a suggested donation of $29. This event is included as part of Career Collective membership.
