What should I have ready for practice?

A yoga mat or cushion that allows you to sit comfortably upright with a tall spine. Our new moon meditations are primarily seated; you’re also welcome to sit in a chair or lie down if that feels more supportive for your body.

is there anything else I should bring?

Having water or tea nearby can help you stay hydrated and cozy. A candle or meaningful object can help set the ambiance and create a ritual you return to each month. A journal is recommended, as we dedicate time toward the end of practice for journaling and reflection.

I’ve never meditated before – can I still join?

Yes. Lunar Magic is designed to be accessible and welcoming, including for people who are new to meditation. Guidance is offered throughout, and there’s no expectation of prior experience.

What style of meditation do you offer?

The practice draws primarily from Kundalini-inspired meditation and mantra, combined with breath awareness, guided focus, and journaling. The approach is practical, grounding, and oriented toward everyday life.

I’m not comfortable turning on my camera or sharing my feelings – is that okay?

Absolutely. You’re welcome to keep your camera off and to participate quietly. Sharing is always optional, and listening is considered a full and valid way of being part of the practice.

I can’t make it live – will there be a recording?

Accepted Answer

Yes. A recording will be shared after the live practice and available for a limited time. You’re welcome to practice on your own schedule within the access period.

We begin with some discussion of the timing of each moon. Light astrological meaning is woven throughout each practice to provide context and orientation, without requiring prior knowledge. Then I guide you through movement- and music-based meditation and we end with journalling.
