What should I have ready for practice?

For our full moon classes, you'll want room to roll out your mat and move around. A cushion, blanket or bolster can also be useful.

is there anything else I should bring?

Having water or tea nearby can help you stay hydrated and cozy. A candle or meaningful object can help set the ambiance and create a ritual you return to each month. A journal is recommended but not necessary in full moon sessions.

I’ve never done anything like this before – can I still join?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Lunar Magic is designed to be accessible and welcoming, including for people who are new to movement and meditation. Guidance is offered throughout, and there’s no expectation of prior experience.

What style of movement do you offer?

The practice draws primarily from Kundalini- and Katonah yoga practices, combined with breath awareness, guided focus, and a blend of other yogic teachings. The approach is practical, grounding, and oriented toward everyday life.

I’m not comfortable turning on my camera or sharing my feelings – is that okay?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. You’re welcome to keep your camera off and to participate quietly. Sharing is always optional, and listening is considered a full and valid way of being part of the practice.

I can’t make it live – will there be a recording?

Accepted Answer

Yes. A recording will be shared after the live practice and available for a limited time. You’re welcome to practice on your own schedule within the access period.

How do I know if this practice is right for me?

This practice is for anyone seeking a regular moment of pause, reconnection. If you’re drawn to working with the moon, enjoy guided meditation and journaling, or want a supportive practice that helps you re-orient yourself throughout the year, Lunar Magic is likely a good fit.

We begin with some discussion of the timing of each moon. Light astrological meaning is woven throughout each practice to provide context and orientation, without requiring prior knowledge. Then I guide you through different movement sequences  and we end with optional sharing within the group.

Full moon classes include accessible movement practices inspired by Kundalini and Katonah yoga, combined with some breathwork and meditation. Movement is always offered with modifications, so you’re encouraged to move in ways that feel supportive for your body.
