Sugarbush Vineyards and Winery

Saturday, March 14th at 11am. Join us on the Elevage weekend for a jam packed wine experience. Your elevated wine tour experience starts in the vineyard (weather permitting) with a introduction to how Sugarbush Vineyards got started and how it got its name. Moving into our small, but efficient winery for a talk on how we produce 2,500 cases annually from our garage! Here we will start your wine tasting experience with a couple of tank samples from the 2024 harvest. This is the vintage picked last fall and will be going into bottle sometime this summer.  Finally we move into our tasting area for a tutored wine tasting with the winemaker, Rob, who will talk you through a flight of our premium wines. Light snacks paired with your wines. This is a great opportunity to get a behind the scenes look and answers to any and all questions.

-

Trail Estate Winery

Saturday, March 14th at 11am. Preview our 2023 Estate Chardonnays! Compare the nuances in terroir in North and South Blocks as well as together as the Estate Chardonnay. This is your first chance to try these truly limited wines as well as stock up on what is proving to be an exceptional vintage for your cellar!

-

Broken Stone Winery

Saturday, March 14th at 12pm. Elevage: "the art of achieving the grapes' maximum potential through barrel aging, fining and filtering. Roughly translates to "raising" in English." Raise a glass with winemaker Tim, in an exclusive backroom tasting surrounded by barrels and tanks. Enjoy a pleasant discussion with the winemaker in his workshop, tasting his wines in progress. You'll have a unique opportunity to compare oaked and unoaked Chardonnays and Pinot Noirs, with the added bonus of comparing barrel wines from two premium Closson Rd vineyards. You can taste the influence of terroir in every sip - It's a feast for the senses! For the folks interested in more technical aspects, you'll learn about different vinification techniques, whole cluster fermentation and how that translates to different aroma and flavour profiles.
