Get a head start on your growing season with our annual seedy event and enter a prize draw only available to those who pre-register.

Whether you're a seasoned gardener or new to the joy of growing your own food, herbs and flowers, Seedy Saturday is an event you'll not want to miss. At this event in the spacious lobby of Howe Sound Secondary School, you can:

  • Learn about seeds, seed-saving and our seed library.
  • Buy seeds and natural products from local and regional seed companies—they'll have seeds good for growing in our west coast environment.
  • Ask a Master Gardener—bring your questions!
  • Bring your own seeds to swap or share.
  • Enjoy presentations from David Catzel, BC Seed Security Program Manager with FarmFolk CityFolk on seed saving for beginners, and from Harriet, our Downtown School Farm Manager on successfully starting your vegetable garden from seeds.
  • Meet relevant local and regional organizations and businesses.
  • And more—details will be announced in the next few weeks.
