School Absenteeism & Refusal: A Parent/Caregiver Workshop

This workshop for parents and caregivers offers valuable insights to recognize warning signs and implement practical strategies to help children overcome school refusal and absenteeism.

Detailed topics include:

· Risk Factors/ warning signs

· Four functions of school refusal

· How to talk about school refusal with your child

· Practical solutions

· Supports and resources

This workshop is offered free of charge to parents/caregivers of Peel District School Board (PDSB) and Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board (DPCDSB) students.

The workshop will be facilitated by Mental Health Professionals from Associated Youth Services of Peel (AYSP).
