Overview

The perfect gathering for book enthusiasts to connect, share their reads, and uncover hidden literary gems.

Looking for a unique way to spend a Saturday afternoon in Ottawa/Gatineau?

Join us for Sip & Read, a curated literary gathering designed for people who love meaningful discussions, fresh perspectives, and authentic connections. Whether you're a passionate reader or just picking up the habit, this is your space to share, learn, and connect with others through books!

What to Expect?

  • Bring any book, one that inspired you, challenged you, or simply your latest read.
  • Present its impact and your reflections to fellow participants. Everyone will be encouraged to share ideas and ask questions in a warm, friendly atmosphere.
  • Relax in a beautiful, welcoming space and enjoy tasty treats as part of your experience.

This edition includes a special book swap: bring 1 to 3 books you'd like to swap (excluding the book you present). You'll have the opportunity to leave with as many books as you brought.

We encourage you to add a short note inside each book you want to swap, telling the next reader why it’s meaningful to you. Imagine the joy of passing on a book with your own little message attached!

Your Ticket Includes:

  • A delicious drink and pastry.
  • A unique, inspiring atmosphere in a local independent café that we proudly support.
  • A digital discussion guide to help structure your book presentation (feel free to use it or not!).
  • A long-lasting experience: You’ll leave with new perspectives, connections, and books/authors to discover.

Who Can Join?

  • This gathering is open to everyone, whether you're an avid or occasional reader; simply bring your curiosity and willingness to learn.
  • All types of books and genres are welcome. It's a great opportunity to meet people with similar or different reading tastes and exchange ideas on a variety of topics.
  • Writers are welcome! Come share your work with a community that values literature.

Open-mindedness & Community: This is a space for discussion —a welcoming, judgment-free opportunity to connect with open-minded individuals and gain valuable insights. A moment of relaxation, laughter, and collective awareness. Guaranteed, you'll leave with a renewed desire to read more!
