The Bridge Project - Artist Talk

Winnipeg’s Contemporary Dancers is a not for profit organization and a registered charity, dedicated to contemporary dance.  The company creates, produces, presents, teaches, and promotes contemporary dance with a view to advance the art form for professional artists and audiences alike.Founded by Rachel Browne, the company was initiated in 1964,  and is Canada’s oldest, and longest running, contemporary dance company.

“The Bridge Project” is a new reciprocating initiative connecting artists and communities in Regina and Winnipeg. Last June, WCD travelled to Regina with four works – “My Romance” and “Mouvement” by WCD’s Founder, Rachel Browne; plus “retuning” and “Alex Colville and I” by WCD’s Artistic Director, Jolene Bailie.Its now our turn to welcome artists from Regina!Join New Dance Horizons' Artistic Co-Director Robin Poitras with guest artists Seema Goel, Johanna Bundon, Lindsay Cottin, and Ben Harvey in an interactive performance/artist talk. Robin will share her creative process and approach to collaboration including a new research project with longtime collaborator Seema Goel.
