Description:
At Eco Adventure Camp participants will explore and experience the unique local flora and fauna of Beaver Creek Conservation Area through guided nature hikes, hands on activities, and creative projects.
Ideal for young explorers aged 8-11, our day camps run from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Wednesday to Friday, during select weeks in July and August.
Each day typically includes a hike on one of the trails, outdoor activities and games as well as related craft projects. Past campers have enjoyed:
- creek dipping
- bird watching
- building beaver dams
- creating nature art
- exploring soils
- making music
- identifying plants and animals.
Additionally, guest experts from other environmental and nature organizations will be invited to lead a session or two. Previous sessions have included wildlife rehabilitation, daytime astronomy and making solar viewboxes, and bat conservation while meeting rescue bats!
