Learn to Weave Series: Lace

Spend a day at the loom weaving your own set of coordinated cotton linens in soft, coastal-inspired neutrals.

This is the third workshop in a series of three one-day sessions, each focused on a different weaving technique. You can join us for just one or come to all three — they're listed as separate events, so you can choose your own adventure.

What You'll Make

In this intermediat session, you'll learn lace weave with pick up sticks on a rigid heddle loom and create soft, absorbent hand towels or table squares. We'll explore texture, and rhythm using a calm neutral palette inspired by the forests and oceans of the west coast.

Your loom will be pre-warped and ready to go when you arrive, so you can dive right into weaving. You'll finish one or two pieces of cloth by the end of the day.

The Full Series

Each workshop focuses on a specific project and weaving structure, so you can build a thoughtful collection over time — or just enjoy a single day at the loom.

  • Session 1: March 7, 11am–5pmPlain Weave & Weft Stripes (beginner-friendly)
  • Session 2: March 21, 11am–5pmColour & Weave Pattern (best for those with some rigid heddle experience)
  • Session 3: March 28, 11am–5pm — Lace Weaving with Pick-Up Sticks (for experienced weavers)

Note: Registration for each session is separate.
