Power in Tantric Traditions

Do you feel empowered in your practice? In Buddha nature? Showing up authentically with both courage and vulnerability can support our sense of empowerment. In these confusing contemporary times, such genuine empowerment is essential for tantric practitioners. In this online course, Catherine Sensei and Right Use of Power and Authentic Leadership teacher Susan Skjei teach together about what power and empowerment mean in the context of tantric spiritual practices. This course aims to empower you to weave every moment with exactly the energy that is needed.

When?

Classes for this course will take place on Sunday mornings (November 8th, 15th and 22nd) and will be video streamed live at 9:30am Mountain Time. The recording will be available for one week after each class.

The course ends with a Flash Retreat on November 28th-29th, 2026, which is an opportunity to go deeper with the material in a contemplative structure. Everyone who enrols in the online course is invited - though if you wish to attend the Flash Retreat, we do ask that you set aside the whole weekend and attend the classes live. There will be morning and afternoon classes on both the Saturday and Sunday. Registration for the Flash Retreat will close at the end of the day on November 15th.

We offer this course on the basis of dāna, and there is also an admin fee to help us cover the cost of running these online courses. The super early bird admin fee is $80 USD for those who book more than four weeks before the deadline, $100 USD two to four weeks before, and $120 USD for those registering less than two weeks before the deadline. For the teachings themselves, we offer Dāna, which is a Sanskrit term meaning “generosity”. With dāna, we give as a mutual exchange of generosity. You may have come across this in the form of “pay from the heart”. It’s our joy to offer this course, and we trust you’ll match our time, energy, and passion by giving an amount of money that feels good and healthy to both you and us. We suggest a range between $120 and $500 for this course. Please note that everyone attending the flash retreat will be invited to offer dana when they sign up for that weekend. -When you register you will receive a confirmation email with details instructing you how to access the course, and a link to register for the Flash Retreat weekend.

-We recommend you attend the classes live to benefit from joining with others, having the opportunity to ask questions, and interacting in breakout rooms. Recordings are available for one week after the class if you are unable to attend.

-Homework for anyone attending teachings: opportunities for weekly practice or reflection are given at the end of each class. Experiences can be shared on our private Planet Dharma Facebook Group. Instructions to access the group will be in your confirmation email.
