Multi-Agency Training (MAT) Centre

The Calgary Fire Department is hosting an information session about a career as a firefighter at the Calgary Multi-Agency Training Centre, 5705 23 Ave SE. The information session is comprised of two parts: a presentation and hands-on experience. The information session will run from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. The goal of this session is to build your confidence and ignite your passion for the fire service.Attendees will have the opportunity to:<ul><li>Learn about a career as a firefighter with the City of Calgary</li><li>Learn about what it takes to become a firefighter with the City of Calgary</li><li>Get information about the <a href="https://www.calgary.ca/careers/fire.html?master=old" title="https://www.calgary.ca/careers/fire.html?master=old" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Firefighter Recruitment Process</a></li><li>Participate in interactive stations using firefighter equipment and training facilities used by the Calgary Fire Department</li><li>Connect with Recruitment Officers and firefighters to ask questions</li></ul>Space is limited; interested participants must pre-register using the Eventbrite link. Ensure you have registered for the appropriate event.Check-in begins at 5:30 p.m. MST<ul><li>There are 50 spots available</li><li>You are allowed one ticket per e-mail address</li><li>Bring photo ID. Participants must be 18 years old</li><li>Waivers and consent forms will be sent out prior to the event using the registered email address. These must be printed and completed at ID check-in.</li><li>Attendees are encouraged to wear/bring gym clothing, shoes and a water bottle.</li><li>If you register and can no longer attend, please log back in to cancel your ticket so someone else has an opportunity to attend</li><li>If the event is sold out, log back in regularly as there may be cancellations; we do not keep a wait list</li><li>Free Parking is available on site.</li><li>We will have a donation box for the veteran's food bank on site if you wish to bring a non-perishable food item</li></ul>Please contact us at fire.recruitment@calgary.ca should you have any questions
