THRIVE: People Leaders Workshop Series – Caring for Ourselves
Build resilience as a leader. This 90-minute virtual workshop helps tourism leaders sustain energy, clarity, and wellbeing under pressure.
What happens to your leadership when caring for others consistently comes before caring for yourself? This 90-minute virtual session builds the self-awareness and personal capacity leaders need to remain steady, focused, and effective in demanding environments. Participants will explore how stress shows up in leadership behaviour, learn how sustained pressure affects the body and brain, and examine what self-care actually looks like within real operational pressures, moving beyond generic advice to practical, sustainable habits that fit into daily routines.
Through guided reflection and practical exercises, leaders will identify patterns that drain or restore their capacity and develop realistic strategies to maintain resilience, clarity, and consistency in their leadership approach over time.
By the end of the session, participants will:
- Understand the role of self-care in sustaining effective leadership and daily performance.
- Recognize early warning signs of stress and burnout in themselves.
- Explore practical, realistic strategies to maintain energy, focus, and emotional regulation.
- Develop a personalized action plan to support ongoing well-being and leadership capacity.
