Let's get gather in community to celebrate Earth Day with a Banfield Park cleanup, action-based climate talk, and three channel, multi-genre silent disco!The Nulla Project &amp; Silent DJ Victoria are collaborating again to bring you another unforgettable Earth Day Celebration-- a combination of being of service, learning together/pledging action steps, and dancing. Music, dance &amp; joy are powerful acts of resistance in these times!FLOW OF THE AFTERNOON:PARK CLEANUP: 1-2pmCLIMATE TALK: 2-3pm (&amp; mindful movement)SILENT DISCO: 3-5pm (3 Djs, 3 channels, all playing at the same time so you can switch between genres)MUSIC:Channel 1: House/ top 40/modern rock Remixes, with some video game, movie, &amp; pop culture remixes sprinkled in. When he's not talking about geeky stuff on the radio as webmeister Bud, DJ Geekout is hunting down remixes of video game/movie/TV themes. Aside from gaming Wednesdays and Sundays on Twitch (@webmeisterBud), he DJs an improv set Friday afternoons. And, on the final Friday of each month, he spins a Monthly Mixtape at 5:00 pm live on The Zone @ 91-3!Channel 2: Soul, funk, disco, R&amp;B, House w SISTr from Silent DJ VictoriaCHANNEL 3: Eclectic ecstatic dance music--a mix of global fusion, tribal percussion, funk, downtempo &amp; more, with SISTr &amp; Britta Dee... There are bike racks off Styles St., near the dock-Partial proceeds go to The NULLA Project, a Victoria-based initiative that aims to improve single use, "To Go" culture with its reusable containers, cups and glasses.
