Woolwich’s first‑ever Climate Action event exclusively for the ICI community.

We’re excited to announce Woolwich’s first‑ever Climate Action event exclusively for the ICI community. This event brings together professionals from commercial, and institutional sectors to share ideas, compare challenges, and collaborate on practical solutions for managing energy use and reducing footprints across Woolwich.We’re ready to roll up our sleeves: review sector-wide emissions, highlight local climate‑mitigation success stories and lessons learned, share updates on funding opportunities for energy‑conservation projects, and identify the next steps we can take to continue advancing sustainability in Woolwich. To ensure this event is a success, we’re partnering with SWR to help deliver the event and to draw on their extensive experience in the sustainability sector within Waterloo Region.As for who should attend, we’re looking for individuals involved in developing, planning, or implementing strategies or projects related to energy management or GHG reduction within their organization. Multiple attendees from the same organization are welcome. However, as this is an invite‑only event, we kindly ask that you email us if you’d like to request additional staff or send a delegate on your behalf. Please note that space is limited.The event is split into two days—one for industrial organizations and one for institutional/commercial organizations. Attendees are welcome to register for whichever day best fits their organization. If you’re unsure which day is right for you, feel free to reach out and we’d be happy to help.Who:Commercial and institutional organizations in WoolwichWe are also issuing an open call for organizations, institutional or commercial—interested in showcasing their energy/waste/water/sustainability initiatives through a case‑study presentation. We have time allotted for three organizations for each event. Preference will be given to Woolwich‑based organizations, but submissions from across Waterloo Region are welcome.
