Artesia Coffee House
Presented by the Coast Cultural Alliance in partnership with the Sunshine Coast Arts Council. We look forward to seeing you!
On Friday, May 15th 2026, the Coast Cultural Alliance in partnership with the Sunshine Coast Arts Council presents the 24th season of the Artesia Coffee House
This, the last Artesia Coffee House of the season, will be happening again in the Doris Crowston Gallery of the Sunshine Coast Arts Centre in Sechelt, on Friday, May 15th at 7:30pm with doors opening at 6:45pm. Tickets are $20, available from Eventbrite, the Sunshine Coast Arts Centre (Wed-Sun, noon-4pm) or at the door. Delectable treats and beverages will be on offer, with donations graciously accepted.
Continuing our celebration of youth in music, we begin with the Chorolations Children’s Choir, now in its 35th year, sharing songs for social change under the direction of Janice Brunson with accompaniment by David Poon. Following them is a duo featuring new Sunshine Coast resident Jane Allan, a lifelong musician, alongside Randy Shepherd, singer / songwriter, performing classic country, Canadiana, and original tunes.
Following the break, our reader will be Johanna Goldenberg, a young high school writer with a passion for storytelling and literature, reading from her first published novella, The Sharp Edge of Seashells. Closing the night and this year’s Artesia series is our much-loved “Definitely Diva,” featuring Lynn Dickson, Wendy Hibbert, and Patrice Pollack accompanied by Boyd Norman, bass, Reg Dickson, guitar/harmonica and Anneka Bonser. Performing together for over 20 years, the Divas continue to delight audiences with beautiful harmonies, great songs, and have way too much fun with their audiences.
A big thank you to all our 2026 musicians, volunteers, and audiences for another amazing series of the Artesia Coffee House and we will see you again in the early months of 2027.
