Hear from artists and arts organizations on their career development and professional learning opportunities

About the session:

Co-produced by Culture/Shift and Arts Education Network of Ontario, this virtual plenary will feature discussions with artists and arts organizations about their career development, training, and professional learning opportunities.

The webinar will be broken into two sessions. Session one will hear from Golshan Abdmoulaie, Executive Director at Vibe Arts and Isorine Marc, Alchemist and Founder, at Jamii. Golshan and Isorine will speak to the kind of professional learning opportunities they offer through their organizations, including key elements, guiding principles, and impact on communities they serve.

Next, we will hear from Alek Phan, Visual Artist and Community Art Educator and Soka Lazara, Lens-based Artist and Facilitator. Alek and Soka will speak to their experience, highlighting key elements of their formative training and how it helped shape their work.

This webinar is a good session for early to mid-career artists and arts professionals who are looking for ideas and inspiration relating to their own career development and training.
