2882 272 StLangley Township, BC
Thursday, May 28 from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm
Overview

Bellevue Park Senior Living welcomes leading aging & Dementia specialist Karen Tyrell for an exclusive series of aging when memory changes.

Karen will guide guests through the final session of this interactive series where she will explore practical strategies for preventing caregiver burnout while supporting your loved one experiencing their unique dementia journey.

On May 28th, Session 4 of this interactive series, "Everyday Strategies to Prevent Caregiver Burnout" will explore proactive steps to maintain health, resilience, and compassion - even amid the demands of caregiving for your loved one with dementia.

75% of caregivers report being completely unprepared when they began caregiving, which, when paired with urgent needs, often coincides with elevated stress and depression (A Place for Mom, 2026).

Karen will break her strategy into a practical checklist while emphasizing the important of each element to ensure that her audience is more prepared for their caregiver journey.

This FREE event is open to individuals looking to plan ahead, currently experiencing steps of this journey, or simply curious about learning more.

Guests are welcome to join one or all sessions, bring a friend, and enjoy coffee and a treat while networking with industry professionals and others exploring the journey of mind-body health.

This intuitive 4-part series will include the following topics:

  • Session 1: Supporting independence in daily life when memory is changing (February 19)
  • Session 2: Navigating the dementia care journey (March 19)
  • Session 3: Beyond puzzles: meaningful activities for brain health (April 16)
  • Session 4: Everyday strategies to prevent caregiver burnout (May 28)

Session Details:

1:30 - 2:30 PM | Presentation
